Profitability of Pairs Trading in 2025: A Quantitative Analysis | Research Project

Still in progress, I am investigating the ongoing viability of pairs trading as a trading strategy in the 2025 market environment, specifically within the S&P 500.
I am implementing mean-reversion trade signals based on statistical models and backtesting the framework, adjusting for costs and slippage, to access profitability through metrics such as Sharpe, Sortino, and omega ratios.
With a Streamlit dashboard, a user can visualize the effects of different parameters (entry z, exit z, loopback window, etc) on the profitability of the strategy.

DescriptAI | Programming Project

Summer 2023

Developed an online tool that uses AI to generate product descriptions for any ecommerce product in seconds, which I conceptualized and launched before similar functionalities were introduced by major platforms like Shopify.
Added functionality to let users upload a CSV for mass production of descriptions, while being able to customize the output length, style, tone, and other attributes.

Gaming Stockpile | eCommerce Technology Business

June 2020 - June 2022

Created and managed all aspects of a small eCommerce/service business, specializing in gaming and tech products.
Strategically designed and developed the company website, established brand guidelines, and built a social media presence with over 2.5 million views, leading to nearly 50,000 site sessions.
Grew a $40 investment into a profitable, ongoing business, generating over 10,000% return during the first year.

I am a curious learner at heart, and I love building my skill base in absolutely anything. I love to work through analytical problems and strategic puzzles, and explore artificial intelligence and algorithmic trading strategies. I also like aviation (I have taken off and landed a real Cessna fully by myself), scuba diving (I recently got my PADI open water license), space travel, medical innovations, surfing, DJing, poker, blackjack, outdoor adventures, and manual cars.

I do programming problems for fun sometimes; I am in the top 3% of all ProjectEuler solvers across the world, and participate in AdventOfCode every December in a leaderboard against my professors.
